After shooting births and newborns for the past 10+ years, it was not until the day we met our baby girl, that I actually understood just how important my job truly is.
The birthday of our daughter is hands down the best day of our lives. To have it documented in a way that I can look back, treasure & reflect on means more than I could ever share. It was such a whirlwind, and it was not until I looked back at photos and video that I was actually able to fully grasp what I just experienced. There were so many moments I missed while in the midst of it. How could I have missed the way my husband cried the moment we pulled her to my chest? In the midst of contractions, I missed the sweet embraces and look of concern on his faces. It is a sacred moment in time that I am honored to be a part of with my clients.
The BirthStory combines photo and video on the day you meet your child. It was quite the emotional journey putting together my own BirthStory. There are so many moments that flew by, especially during my Labor and those precious first few weeks. I wish more than anything that I could've bottled up that time to make it last, but I guess this is the next closest thing.
